This is one of a series of combined 1 day courses and examinations for painting inspectors certificated under other schemes and who wish to gain recognition under the ICorr Scheme. These intensive courses concentrate mainly on those topics and basic approaches in training which are different in the various other schemes compared with the level of ICorr desired by the candidate. The courses finsih with short written (and practical, where appropriate) examinations.
The aim of this concept is to ensure similar scope and depth of subject topics has been taught to all ICorr certificate holders irrespective of the scheme from which they have transitioned. This will help bring parity and harmonisation between schemes, for the ultimate benefit of both professional painting inspectors and their customers.
This course is approved by the Institute of Corrosion (UK) and is designed to accommodate BGAS-CSWIP Site and Mill Coatings inspectors who wish to transition to ICorr. ICorr Pipeline Coatings Inspector Level 2 qualification may be gained by this route and depends on the level of competence demonstrated by the candidate in examination at the end of the course.
